New Hanover County operations closed Friday, January 24, will resume some operations on Saturday, January 25
Due to ongoing hazardous road conditions, New Hanover County government offices, facilities, attractions, and landfill will remain closed on Friday, January 24. Public safety operations will continue as scheduled. The court systems in New Hanover and Pender counties will also remain closed.
County facilities, attractions, and services normally open on weekends, including libraries, parks, Airlie Gardens, the Arboretum, the Cape Fear Museum, and the landfill, will reopen at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, and operate under regular hours. These facilities will be open regular operating hours on Sunday, January 26, and all county services will resume regular operational hours on Monday, January 27.
