Government: Closings – Cancellations – Delays

New Hanover County
Beginning Monday, September 24, New Hanover County Government returns to regular operations, including Public Health, the Senior Resource Center, Social Services and public libraries. The Myrtle Grove Library will open to the public on Wednesday, September 26, after a downed tree is removed from the parking lot.   

The Cape Fear Museum, all county parks, Airlie Gardens and the Arboretum are closed until further notice. 

City of Wilmington
Beginning September 24, city offices are open for business. All city parks are closed until further notice. Visit the city’s website for more information.

New Hanover County Schools
Schools are closed through September 28. Visit the NHCS website for more information.

New Hanover and Pender County District Courts
Open Monday, September 24 with limited court sessions in criminal district court and criminal superior court. More info »

University of North Carolina Wilmington
Classes are anticipated to resume on Monday, October 1. Visit the UNCW website for more information.

Cape Fear Community College
All campuses are closed through Monday, October 1. Visit the CFCC website for more information.
